HK BEAMS (Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method for Sustainability)

Green buildings use less energy and reduce water and material usage than conventional buildings, which in turn limit greenhouse gas emissions. The aim of the BEAM Plus assessment is to reduce the environmental impact of buildings while maintaining and, in fact, in many areas, even improving the quality of the built environment and users’ satisfaction by adopting the best techniques, practices, and standards compatible with prevailing economic constraints.

US LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)

LEED is the world’s most widely used green building rating system. LEED certification provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings, which offer environmental, social and governance benefits. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement, and it is backed by an entire industry of committed organizations and individuals paving the way for market transformation.

US WELL (WELL Building Standard)

The WELL Building Standard is the world’s first evidence-based system designed for measuring, certifying and monitoring building features impacting health and wellbeing. The WELL Building Standard puts health and wellbeing at the centre of design and construction decisions. A great emphasis is given to strategies aimed at enhancing people’s health and wellbeing in buildings without neglecting the buildings’ sustainability performance and the impact on the environment.
