Disinfection Robot Development Consultation and Advisory

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we provide professional guidance to mechanical disinfection clients by selecting appropriate test criteria based on international standards and choosing suitable strains for testing.

VOCs and Formaldehyde Removal

Indoor decoration materials can produce harmful VOCs and formaldehyde, which can irritate the respiratory system and lead to carcinogenic effects with prolonged exposure. Luxen’s Nano-photocatalytic treatment technology is an effective solution to eliminate these harmful gases. The technology uses photocatalytic oxidation to remove toxic VOCs and formaldehyde from indoor environments

FEHD Registration on Air Change/Installation of Air Purifier

Luxen provides air purifiers for sale and rental to customers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Hong Kong government required restaurants and food markets to have air change systems that meet a minimum of six air changes per hour. To help restaurant customers comply with this requirement, Luxen expanded its services to assist customers in applying for and obtaining approval from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) for their air change systems

Odour Analysis and Management

Luxen provides odour analysis services to identify the level of odour using an olfactometer and to analyze the odour chemical using a sorbent tube for air sampling. Odour management and treatment technologies require an odour assessment to be worked out where all actual and potential odour emission sources are recorded and characterized. Odour monitoring is a scientific process that aims to detect and collect data about odours such as concentration and type.

Grease Trap Cleaning and Odour Treatment

Commercial buildings often face the problem of unpleasant odors emanating from their grease trap rooms. Luxen has developed a customized solution for these buildings that involves on-site inspection and testing to analyze the cause of the odor and formulate a specific degreaser to clean the grease trap room. This solution can help eliminate the unpleasant odors that affect the tenants and guests of the building

Water Quality Enhancement Consultation and Advisory

Luxen provides a water disinfection service that can thoroughly clean and disinfect the entire water system of commercial buildings, from the water tank to the water pipes and water taps, to ensure safe drinking water for building occupants.

During hot weather, bacteria such as Legionella, E. coli, and heterotrophic bacteria can easily grow in the building’s water system, it’s difficult to kill them all by cleaning the water tank seasonally. Luxen’s water disinfection service can clean and disinfect the entire water system without using chemical disinfectants, making it an environmentally friendly.

UVC Disinfection Treatment

Luxen UVC Water Tank Disinfection Treatment integrating meticulous physical cleaning with photochemical sterilisation to ensure the highest standards of water quality in portable water systems. Designed for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, this service delivers microbiologically safe drinking water through advanced UVC technology. Our system employs high-intensity ultraviolet light within the 200-280nm spectrum to cleave nucleic acid bonds in microorganisms, rendering bacteria, viruses, and protozoa incapable of replication.

This advanced process integrates a dynamic array of submersible UVC emitters, optimised through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to ensure uniform photon distribution and maximal microbial inactivation. According to our previous projects, this method achieves a sterilisation efficacy exceeding 99.99%, targeting pathogens such as Escherichia coli, Legionella, pneumophila, and Crytosporidium. Applied to potable water tanks, UVC eliminates planktonic and sessile microbial populations without introducing chemical residuals, ensuring compliance with stringent potable water standards (e.g., WHO and EPA guidelines) and positioning this as an environmentally sustainable alternative.

Dye Test with UV-Vis Analysis

This project outlines the steps for conducting a fluorescent dye test (FDT) to identify potential leaks. The test employs three fluorescent dyes—blue, red, and green—that appear white under visible light. These dyes are analyzed using UV-Vis spectroscopy in our laboratory. The testing process consists of two phases: a qualitative phase to confirm the presence of leaks and a quantitative phase to determine their exact locations.
